Riding Time!

Sunday was the day I made my husband come out with me (So he could call 911 if needed, spoiler not needed). Remus let me catch him which was a start and even though the kids at the barn were cutting branches and racing around on their golf cart, and even though Remus was a bit looky all went well.

It was a gorgeous 65 degree day and really nice. I thought for about ten seconds about lunging him first (Seriously I think the last time I rode him was early Sept but I am not sure) so I was like hmm. But then I was like well it is REMUS. So I led him to the ring and climbed on (Thanks Mark for getting proof I did ride!). He was really really good (Remus I mean though Mark was too!).

Again a bit looky but to be expected a lot was going on and his field is to the back of the property and the ring was to the front.

We didn’t do a heck of a lot because we have had no rain for like 2 months here and the ring is rock hard right now. Also he was due the farrier the very next day so his toes were pretty long. He has a new farrier and I am really excited we may get some resolution to his high heels/long toes that we have struggled with forever. Remus liked the new farrier so much he almost fell asleep while getting done!!

so wild…

So now to ride again and also find some lessons to haul out to or get to come there. I have some leads so going to reach out this week to see if we can find someone willing to take us on and whip us back in shape (at this point I am not sure who is more out of shape me or Remus!)

Happy Tuesday!!

me and Remus both!
