Merry Xmas and All That Stuff…

Work exploded last week so alas I made no post. And my last post was a cliffhanger so my apologies.

I haven’t made a decision yet about Buster. He has a few issues (vet related, etc) and I am still deciding. But I did ride him yesterday finally (the weather has been obscene as well as work has been obscene so life was nuts). But yesterday I got to the barn at 1115 or so and didn’t leave till 430. AND IT WAS FREAKING WINDY AND COLD. My ass was frozen solid when I got home. LOL

First off someone came to try Luna. Yes Luna. Yes I had two novices get on my four year old baby horse with so much opinions. And she was almost perfect. It was scary how good she was (she got pissy by the end because they just didn’t want to get off her). I don’t think they want her and I don’t think I will sell her to them even if they do. They do have a trainer but…..But Luna really impressed me yesterday.

Then by the time they left Lindsay needed to go. So I tried to pass it off. I can get on him some other time. yadda yadda yadda. Lindsay said let’s do this!!

So we did. Walking out to the ring Buster did a hard ass spook on the ground and almost plowed Lindsay and Toulouse over. But he was very good after that.

Lindsay got on him first and he was very stiff starting out but he did work out of it (I will do a separate post about the vet findings). He has no muscle tone and no real topline either. And he doesn’t know a whole lot.

And then I got on him. I can’t even remember when I last rode but it was on Remus for sure. He is a different mover than Remus (and I do not like his trot as much as Remus’s BUT he does have a forward button which Remus did not). He is willing and though a bit nervous was a good boy for the ride.

So I have reached out to the owner of him with options. Not sure she will go for any of those but I will keep you posted. I like him a lot. But liking a horse a lot doesn’t mean they are the right horse for you. So stay tuned (DID I JUST DO ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER? YOU ARE WELCOME) 🙂 HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!
