Finn is doing great. What is not great is the massive amount of rain we have gotten this week which means Finn hasn’t been ridden all week.
It hopefully will dry up this weekend and be okay for next weekend which hopefully will be Finn’s debut at a combined training event.
We have been still training his mane to lay on one side. We need to pull it but it is so pretty I hate to do that. HA. He has been put on a diet with grain as he is finally getting fat. He is a regular Roomba 2000 where he scarfs everything up in sight.
Speaking of contraptions, Finn has a new hay ball in his stall. He loves playing/eating with that thing!
I also had a quick work trip to Chicago last week. This was my hotel room view!
We went out for a really nice meal too that evening, then flew home on Thursday. I haven’t been to Chicago in forever, and wish I had had more time. But alas! š
Course next time we are back there it will be February and not as lovely as it was this time. Oh well.
Speaking of nasty weather: This was at the barn the other pm when feeding. I was stuck in barn.
Meanwhile, we will keep on Finn-ing on. He is such a funny dude. He literally can’t be trusted with much hanging outside his stall and he will throw buckets in his stall if you take a bit too long to bring him his dinner. But he is practically perfect to me.

Is it bad if I tell you that Dalton’s mane flops on both sides and I don’t pull it? I just take scissors to it and cut it short / thin it out. Of course the scissors have rounded ends because boy can’t stand still to save his life

Must be a chestnut thing to throw buckets. Eros throws his around constantly. I’ve taken away his feed bucket and gave him a rubber pan instead since it’s harder for him to destroy.
