Got moved out at 830 pm Tuesday night after loading my trailer with so much stuff it was unreal. Loaded by myself so the first hour of driving I had my heated seats on to aid my back pain. Then Ollie, Bern, and me stopped before Nashville for the night as we were all exhausted.

I did cry leaving the driveway on Tuesday night leaving my farm and my minis. I hope they are okay (My neighbor is taking care of them till the people move in). I hope I made the right choice. Mark says I can’t control everything but I say why not!!??
The next morning I was on my way at 6 am (7 EST) and heading east (North). Got to Clemmons around 4-5 and could have kissed the ground once I arrived. I was crippled. No long haul driver is me!!

Anyway spent the week getting unpacked and getting dad settled some more and just sleeping when I could. So tired still.

We have boxes everywhere (mostly in garage and spare rooms) but I just got my work desk set back up upstairs (this week I worked downstairs as I could not manage the stairs with my aches and pains my truck almost killed me sitting in it so long). So I am ready to start the work week here in our new home finally.
My sister is on her way from VA (which is about 6 hours compared to the 14-15 hours it used to take her). My brother should be coming next week to see Dad (he is about 4.5 hours away). So that is great.
Remus arrives tomorrow (Monday but probably late). He is going to a small farm near my house for self care for now to get settled and us to rebond then probably move him to a real farm with a trainer etc next Spring. This place is a family place with a few boarders and a nice ring and free parking for my trailer. I think it will be good for us both, he has his own field and two stalls to go in and out as he wants and horses on all sides of him.
The man who owns the farm, his mother actually lives on the Eastern Shore of Virginia (Where I grew up and where my sister still lives) and knew my mom and dad. What a small world, right?

Anyway settling in and be good to have my horse here and be in control of him again. Hay is plentiful here, not just Bermuda yay! I will start looking for places to haul to once I actually get everything out of my trailer. Seriously it is embarrassing how full it still is with household crap!!
How you all doing?? I hope to get back to regularly blogging again YAY! Once I catch up on my sleep!

Glad you’re finally getting settled! And wonderful that you found a nice place for Remus. Moving is the worst. So congrats on getting that wrapped up!
