Still here…..

We are getting into a groove now with Remus nearby. I go twice a day to feed him and the other day I planned to ride him (Note: PLANNED) but the little shit would not let me catch him. He saw the halter and was like SEE YOU LATER and ran around his field.

I did finally catch him and put him in the round pen for some one on one time. But by then it was so darn hot I didn’t feel like tacking him up. Now the pendulum has swung the other way and it is COLD brghhh. I will ride one day (Emily I can hear your eyes rolling all the way over therein SC) but all my tack is unpacked and in the tack room.

But the day he was a pain to catch I had a bat literally cussing me out every time I walked into the barn. Mind you it was 80 plus degrees and he was in a corner of the roof but not out of the sun. I think he was just downright cranky his choice of nap place had A) people walking around and B) not a lot of shade. He finally moved on but dang he could cuss (he even had his little tongue out of me for a while). He was very vocal and very pissed off!

I know it does not look like a bat but trust me he was there!

Otherwise I have to head to Charlotte on Friday for an overnight work trip. And I could sleep for a week. Salty had a bad turn and ended up at the ER again this past weekend and a regular vet on Monday but even though they recommended possible euthanasia (Her heart is just really really bad) she has perked up again and is eating great (grilled chicken but any hoo it is only money right?). Let’s hope she stays perky. She was not perky this past weekend at all.

Dogs, am I right?? Anyway, I do miss my minis I think they are doing okay but I feel a bit odd with them under someone else’s care. I hope they send photos soon!

Also it seems weird I used a Friends’ gif (I know I use them a lot but haven’t lately) the other day on Friday then my favorite character died on Saturday. I literally shouted OH SHIT when I saw the headline pop up. How sad. Iconic and part of my life for so long. I still watch the first 8 seasons of Friends. I won’t watch the last season I really didn’t like that. But end of a total era. I know Matthew Perry had his demons but I am so sorry he died so young. Good bye Chandler Bing….
