Remus has a sleepover friend!

We have had so much up and down weather my head keeps spinning off its axis due to the barametirc changes. This weekend was in the almost 80s but on Friday we had coldish weather with coldish rain all day and night. It was GROSS.

I went out to feed the kids that night and saw Toulouse (Remus’s next door neighbor) shivering even with his sheet on so I texted his owner and brought Toulouse up to spend the night next to Remus. It was pretty frigid and I just wanted to get his wet sheet off and get him warm. They seemed like they were fine with each other so I left them overnight.

The photo above at the top is what Lindsay saw when she went to feed the next morning. Everyone was happy (besides Remus’s crankypants face) and she turned her guy back out and then let Remus out.

Now it is hot as heck out and Remus has still not shed much out. I may have to clip his neck and chest if he doesn’t start shedding soon. His metabolic levels came back a bit higher too so we are going to do a short round of meds and retest him to see where we are with him.

My barn owner’s mom was out visiting this week to babysit her grandkids and she took Remus for a spin. (He was NOT good in the ring and it was very wet out of the field but he toted her around like bestest boy). Again it was a bit warm for early March!
