Where did that week go?

So oh yes we lost internet for 2 days last week. WHICH IF YOU WORK FROM HOME is a big deal. UGH.

Spectrum had an outage in the NC area (AS IN ALMOST THE WHOLE STATE) and when it came back online my modem and router were barely limping along. Went to Spectrum to swap out the router and sat there for an hour I swear i was just like this.

So finally got swapped out (not without them trying to upsell me a mobile plan, DUDE YOUR INTERNET IS NOT WORKING I AM SURE AS SHIT NOT GIVING YOU THE ONLY THING THAT KEPT ME ONLINE FOR 2 days (Thanks ATT!). Drove home hooked up and still was limping. Got on the online chat with Spectrum (fourth time in 2 days!) and they did everything but could not fix it! So they had to send a tech out (BUT NOT TILL THE NEXT AM).

So they sent out a wizard (AKA he looked a lot like Harry Potter really) to work on my defunct internet (Yes we lived two whole days without streaming it was NOT PRETTY).

He did some wand waves (changing of cables and spraying of wasps outside, rerigging the inside internet closet and other magic shit) and fixed a lot of things not done right the first time it was installed as well as telling me that a third party cut the fiber (I was like umm on fiber connected the whole state??) and some other deep dark magic things.

And that is how I got my internet back! Meanwhile Luna and Remus are doing fine. Just a hot, smoldering week of humidity and sun and heat and no internet. FUN. WHERE IS FALL? I need a hoodie and a pumpkin spice latte (TOO EARLY EVEN IF THEY ARE IN THE STORES ALREADY!)
