Blogs Be Boring At Times

I am truly stuck on what to write about. Luna is in training but not progressing real fast due to rain, throwing shoes, and what not. I actually think she is regressing in training but that is another discussion for later (MARES!).

Remus is I think less lame now after his shot. He gets a check up in like 2 weeks so fingers crossed. But even though the temps ARE Better this week, with work etc. I just haven’t had time to ride him. My friend Lindsay hopped on him this week for me, and said he was definitely not lame up front finally at the walk and trot but he was L-A-Z-Y. That tracks.

seriously did this in the kitchen the other day at them….

Otherwise we have two foster schnauzers here that are like the cutest, craziest dogs we have ever had. AND NO I AM NOT FOSTER FAILING THIS TIME. They are more like raptors than dogs honestly the way they act but two weeks in they are settling a bit thank goodness!! They had no idea about housebreaking and also thought biting was the answer to everything. So don’t think they are angels by looking at photo below! (yes I am just as crazy obviously!)

Also posted my trailer for sale but have had no real interest. How do you all sell your trailers if you do? Any advice? I really want a straight load for Remus (and Luna) but need to get rid of mine first.

If you know of anyone looking, let me know (Warmblood sized, 2 horse slant with dressing room. Aluminum flooring with mats, fans in horse area. Hauled more furniture and household goods than horses honestly! HA!)

How has everyone else’s week been? Sorry I am so boring. Hopefully things perk up soon!

  1. I think boring can be good sometimes! But I find your posts entertaining even if you report no new horse news. You have a knack for picking out great photos and funny GIFs. Your foster dogs are quite photogenic, but it sounds like you have your hands full with them. I’m sure the rescue appreciates your efforts in socializing them. As far as selling trailers, I once sold a trailer back to the original dealer. I’ve also successfully sold an older trailer on Craigslist. Both were good experiences.

  2. I’ve never had any luck trying to sell my own trailers and I’ve sold three in the past 10 or so years. I had the dealer where I bought my trailers sell them for me. They charged a small commission, but they sold for more money and way faster than I could get myself.

  3. Those faces! You are obviously lying about their misdemeanors, those pups are innocent of everything!

2 horse trailers get snapped up quickly in my area. Are you advertising just locally? Is the market such there that it would be worth expanding your ad into neighboring states? I know of lots of people who have driven hours away to buy a used trailer. Good luck!

  4. No help really on the trailer front. I traded my old in when I bought the current one. I probably would have gotten a lot more selling on my own, but sometimes it’s worth the loss for convenience.
Also, this is not boring! Foster dogs!!! Wild ones that are also adorable. Not at all boring.

Looking forward to reading about what Luna is up to. Try not to be frustrated. Baby horses are a lot of three steps forward and two steps back. Especially with all the changes.

Hope you get to ride soon! I miss Remus content!
