Frustration and Despair: Whine or Wine?

Okay I am being a huge drama queen here so pardon me now for being such a cry baby weenie! Thanks!

Remus got his PEMF treatment this week. This not part of the frustration and despair. He LOVED IT. Literally enjoyed every second of it. See the photos. Happy Happy Pony.

No the frustrating part is it is just about 30 days post Osphos injection and my horse is still lame. Up front. Seems fine in the back. My friend hopped on him this am and said he was not grumpy and was in fact feeling great and then she trotted him and whomp whomp, right leg gimpy. Both ways. I know I was putting too much faith in an injection. But dang it.

His farrier comes on Monday and is going to start doing some corrective shoeing which MAY help with his navicular ouchiness but I feel like this whole summer has been like I have been throwing money out and getting very little return back.

I don’t want to even COMPUTE how much money I have spent on said Remus (let’s not even get started on MS fancy pants, Luna!).

I am down in the doldrums today. Between a lame horse and a baby horse I am literally between a rock and a hard space. Thanks for reading my whining! Maybe I need some wine instead of just whining??

  1. Sorry to hear it. it’s so hard with these horses… we can do everything right, and they just arent grateful! hah. Fingers crossed it ends up being something dumb like a stone bruise that just doesnt want to clear up.
