These weeks are FLYING BY. My medical woes are ongoing and I have to have a chest CT next week. It sucks to get old, guys. 100 percent do not recommend it, stay young my friends.

Luna got her tootsies shod last week. She was not horrible but she took enough sedation to take an elephant down and she still could move when she wanted. She was not evil, just fidgity. The farrier was amazing and took his time with her and her feet look great AND she is moving so much better.

Let’s hope one more time with sedation and perhaps we can get her like a normal horse but hey whatever.

SHE TOTALLY loaded kind of crappy on the way there but once someone was behind her loaded right up. It took five people (including the vet) to load her to return home. She really is hard work. I was sore for a few days from holding her practically upright during the farrier then trying to get her loaded. The good thing is she rode better both ways once loaded so yay!!
The trailer is hooked up now to work on but I really think I need to suck it up and buy a straight load.
She is doing really well living at Remus’s spot and being worked in the round pen. I am taking her off the regumate since it has chilled up pretty quick here. Stay tuned for a more thorough update later.

Life is strange without Ollie around but SLR Foster Sassy is back for a visit since her mom had a family emergency and we have a 13 year old schnauzer foster named Betty White who is visiting short term again so it is never dull here.

Happy Fall Friday to all!

I hope you’re okay – stay well my friend. And I need to send you the video of Dalton on sedative when he gets shod – so drunk. Unfortunately he metabolizes it very quickly and our farrier likes to take his time…
