Finn loaded again like a champ and headed to the Vet Clinic on Monday to get his canker hoof stuff done.
It got done after I dropped him off and he did great. The back foot was really easy, the front foot took a bit of work. But over all he did great and they said we had done a great job of cleaning up the feet in 2 weeks. Even with all the rain!
His quote was for three nights hospitalization but luckily he is a stellar patient (and a fast healer) and ended up getting out of jail free two nights early! π I got to pick him up Tuesday afternoon.

Once I heard from the vet I made sure to have no meetings this afternoon and jumped in the truck to go pick him up. YAY. He is home in his field (NO stall rest needed yay!) and is happy to be home. Some voodoo med treatment on his hooves 2 x a week, clean his feet daily, and he gets rechecked in 2 weeks.
Best boy ever!!
More adventures to come!! Happy Wednesday (I wanted to post this yesterday but life got in the way)!

Great news for you and Finn! Having gone through dental surgery with my own horse last Fall, I am familiar with the worry and expense of equine hospital stays. Glad it worked out!

He’s such a lovely boy. Yay for getting out of jail early – I bet it’s such a relief to have him back home safe and sound.
