Alive and Kicking

So piggate is over for now. We have seen no more pigs and all the ponies and people are very happy about that! Finn was a bit spooky the last few times we rode him but pretty settled now and not spooky. I did ride him this past Sunday and he was fine. Lazy in fact. We both here in the same mood I think.

Lindsay had to travel this week for work so I am pulling both shifts feeding right now.

Which is fine except when I went to feed Finn on Monday night and I was a wee bit slow taking him his hay pillow and he spun and cow kicked me and made contact. OUCH it hurt.

Thank goodness it was not a direct hit and thank goodness he doesn’t wear shoes. It was bad enough to break the skin and it is still swollen five days later. And still hurts if you touch it too hard. BAD FINN. He honestly had no idea he even got me and was happily munching hay out of his hay pillow while I struggled back upright. Fun times!

He adores this thing and empties it nightly!

Otherwise we are keeping busy. It is going to be 70s this weekend then drop to 40s day and 20s at night so it will be a quick change. But Finn has SO MUCH hair I don’t think I will blanket/sheet him unless it is WET and COLD both.

Happy Friday all, we are planning to ride on Sunday so will try to get media!!
