Winter vortex is in North Carolina and being a real bitch about it all. We had ice/snow last weekend and we got a shitload of snow this past weekend. I am tired of scraping ice, breaking ice, and just being cold as shit.
Finn doesn’t mind the cold (maybe I should have named him Elsa??) but I sure do. BRGHHH.
I think everywhere from Florida to up north has frozen this week. BRGHHH again.
It is supposed to warm up a tiny bit this week so let’s hope the 11-12 inches of snow (And the layer of ice underneath) melts soon. We haven’t had trash picked up since the week before last. It is a total mess. Though they finally plowed my barn road. Thank goodness for tiny miracles.
My horse is happy and fat and warm with his blankie on as needed. His heated water tub is working and I have gotten quite strong with banging ice out of the others with a hammer and also shoveling endless snow.
How is everyone else handling the cold?? I hope it warms up for everyone soon (NOT hot just warmer would be fine I dream of a 50 degree day with some lovely sun!)
In other news I am so sad Catherine O’Hara died. She was far too talented and way too young to have left us, in my mind!! What a loss.
Indeed, Catherine you are not supposed to be there!

Fat Buckskin in a Little Suit 
We didn’t so much get snow as a TON of ice. Of course the autowaters at the barn froze. Luckily the horses stayed warm and healthy through it all and next week we’ll be back to the mid-70s. SMH
