Happy Anniversary to My Husband of 15 Years (Wait,What? HOW LONG?)

Ahh marriage. Fifteen years of it.

tenor.gifMy husband and I said ‘I do’ fifteen years ago today in Ocean City, MD and have never looked back. He puts up with all my issues and annoyances (For example today is our anniversary, and I will be at FHI all day then will be with Stubben tonight. OOPS Bad timing?)

Fun is important for sure!

He puts up with it all, whether it be me being gone all day for an event or him having to help feed at the barn, or helping with the dogs or looking at houses all weekend long rather than relaxing or even putting up with my family.  Sometimes I think he should be nominated for sainthood; sometimes I think how the heck have I put up with him so long!? (just kidding!)

Alcohol helps sometimes too LOL

But I wouldn’t have the life I have without him so I am sure glad I met him so many years ago. Happy anniversary, Mark. Here is to many many more anniversaries (as well as horses, dogs, saddles, and so on).

I had to import him from England to get the husband I wanted so don’t let that stop any of you still looking! HA! Here are some photos from 15 years ago today. Mark was so hungover from his bachelor party the night before, you can see the sweat sheen on his forehead. LOL I still give him crap about that. God we were young then too and this is probably the only time you will ever see me on this blog in a dress!

  1. Happy Anniversary! This makes me feel better actually… our five year wedding anniversary is Saturday and I’m ditching my husband for FHI. He figured it might be safer if we go out to dinner on Sunday rather than ask me to come back earlier, tired, rush, etc. Smart guy…

      1. Exactly! I didn’t even invite him this year since a good friend of mine moved back and always joins me. He actually enjoys watching cross country but certainly doesn’t have the endurance for a full day affair… I’m not sure if I’m a terrible person or just have my priorities! Poor horse husbands! What did they sign up for? In my case, 6 am, 5:30 pm, and 8:30 pm feedings in all weather… That wasn’t initially in the cards when he met me, I had 1 horses, and Subi was on full board.

  2. Happy anniversary! Glad I’m not the only one who ditches Husband (or drags him along) for horse stuff. My husband spent Fathers Day at a 3 day horse show, then his birthday at Windridge last weekend. Too funny about the hungover groom who was imported from New England 😂😂 Hope you have a fabulous day at FHI and that Stubben can solve your saddle woes!

  3. Happy Anniversary. Hubby spent our 13th anniversary at the Windridge Hunter Pace. It comes with the territory of marrying a horse woman. Good luck with Stubben. I’m interested in your opinion. I think I already mentioned my old BO was a rep and I put every model on Gem and none for her in the slightest.

  4. Happy Anniversary! Those pics of you guys at your wedding are so cute! He does look a little hungover LOL Congrats! You’ll have to tell the story some day of how you guys met! (Unless you have and I just haven’t yet gotten around to reading your blog from the beginning lol)
