Some of you may have seen this on Facebook but others may not have. Fred is no longer with us. He had a downward spiral that started on Sunday morning and culminated with us saying goodbye to him on Monday. I am so sad. Ginger and Lola are fine though they are staying close to barn I think they aren’t sure what happened to him and he might still be in the barn. Anyway, we buried him on our property and when the guy was done I came out and looked over there (it is on a peaceful part of the land behind a magnolia tree in the shade of the woods) and there was a cardinal on his grave. It was so beautiful and I think it was him saying goodbye.
I had him such a short time but he was in my heart and I am so sad he is gone. But I am also glad he is pain free now. Just wanted to share with you all. I will be back to posting later. Just need to take a few days I think. Thank you again all.
I have photos from the last two days of him which I am not going to share. I want people to remember him as he was. I do have this photo of the trio from last week, I like to call it hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil.
Goodbye Fred, three weeks with you was not enough but you loved me enough for a lifetime!
Meanwhile the bitches of Eastwick are doing just fine….
I hope your week is going well and you are staying safe and healthy as we continue through this thing called life.
Crazy times here as some of our restaurants are reopening now. Sorry, maybe it is just me but I don’t need to eat in a restaurant bad enough to have waiters and waitresses wearing masks and gloves to serve me. I know they need to get the economy going but nope not me. Stay safe and hug your critters (and families too I guess, anyone who is with you at least)!

It is a hard time to suffer such a loss because this strange world we are living in now makes home feel so much more precious. A warm embrace from me and the four donks here.

I thought 2019 was a shit year, but I think that was mostly on my end. Turns out 2020 is just kicking everyone in the face. I’m so sorry about Fred. You didn’t get nearly enough time with him.
