Lots happening and I forgot to post any of it 🙂 You guys know me by now. Sorry/not sorry.
Let’s start with Finn and his health. He is doing okay and is canker free. His farrier got hurt last week but hopefully he gets his (Way overlong at 5 weeks) hooves done this Thursday.
His back injections helped his back soreness but now he has some fluid built up in his back legs. My vet chose to start him on Legend so he gets his second injection when he goes on Thursday to the vet. Fingers crossed we finally get him right (or right enough!)
AND he stopped sweating last week a bit. Now to be fair it has been hot as bejezus. Like 115 heat index.
He has a fan on from morning to night for him and he stopped drinking outside. So had to double clip his buckets cause remember baby orca and he still splashes and makes a mess but he cant get them off the stall walls.

So my vet suggested Guinness for a while. So he has a nice cold can of brew every evening feed with his grain while I toil and sweat taking care of Princess Finn and doing his stall. I swear some horses are so spoiled!

It is not as hot today but still very muggy. I am already tired of Summer and it is just now July 1st. UGH.

The air has been SO thick with humidity in my area too. I understand why Finn was having flared nostrils, poor guy. Too hot to breathe!

Ugh, the no sweating is so stressful. Jamp used to enjoy a beer with dinner for the same reason. Hope it helps Finn! Excited to read about your saddle fitting!
